PahariRooms is a free listing platform that helps people in Himachal Pradesh (currently Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, and Solan) find and post rooms, PG accommodation, roommate requirements, and second-hand furniture. We connect people directly — landlords with tenants, sellers with buyers — with no brokerage fee charged by us.
PahariRooms is strictly an intermediary connecting users. We are not a landlord, tenant, broker, agent, seller, or buyer in any transaction that takes place between users. We do not own, manage, inspect, or guarantee any property, room, or item listed on the Platform. Any agreement — rental, sale, or otherwise — is strictly between the users involved, and we are not a party to it.
Listings are created by users, not verified by us before publishing (except for the optional "Verified Local" badge, which reflects our own manual check of the poster's identity only, not the accuracy of any listing content). We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, current, genuine, or that the person posting it has the legal right to rent or sell the item described.
You are solely responsible for independently verifying any listing, landlord, tenant, buyer, or seller before entering into any agreement or making any payment. We strongly recommend meeting in person, verifying identity, and inspecting any room or item before transacting.
PahariRooms currently identifies users by name and phone number, without a password. You are responsible for the security of the phone number linked to your account and for all activity associated with it. You agree to provide accurate contact information.
You agree not to:
You retain ownership of any photos, descriptions, and other content you upload. By posting on PahariRooms, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, host, and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to post any content you upload.
We reserve the right to remove any listing, suspend any account, or take down any content at our discretion — including in response to a report submitted through the Platform's reporting feature — without prior notice, particularly where content is reported as fraudulent, inappropriate, or in violation of these Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PahariRooms and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from: (a) any transaction, dispute, or agreement between users; (b) the accuracy or genuineness of any listing; (c) any loss, fraud, injury, or damage arising from a user's interaction with another user, whether online or in person; or (d) any interruption, error, or unavailability of the Platform.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the details of the Grievance Officer are as follows:
Complaints regarding content on the Platform will be acknowledged within 24 hours and disposed of within 15 days, as required under applicable law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of the Platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Himachal Pradesh.
